We have two groups of people who help the club to function; The Committee and the volunteers. These are the people without whom there wouldn't be a club. They give their time and experience for only one reason, to help and benefit the club and their love of 'The Greatest Game'. Thank you to all concerned.

The Committee
Gary Tetlow - CHAIRMAN

.

Original joint founder of St Albans Centurions way back in 1996, this is Gary's second stint as chairman of the Centurions. Originally from St Helens, Gary missed proper rugby so much when he moved down south that he helped set up The Cents. Gary can often be found on the sidelines giving the players quiet words of 'encouragement'. Qualified referee Gary has contacts far and wide in the Rugby League world and has definite ideas as to how to guide this club to bigger and better things.

Tony Bottomley - CLUB SECRETARY

.

Tony's connection with the game of Rugby League is so impressive I will let it speak for itself. Born into a well known rugby family, Tony has played for Halifax, Hull KR, Bramley and England U19's. When he moved 'darn sarf', Tony helped set up and run Ealing RL club. He was the chair of the London ARL for 10 years, London Junior Development Committee for 11 years, the manager of the Herts RL service area for 3 years, and is currently the manager of the South African Wild Dogs national team. Tony was voted Club President in 2007.

Dave Parsons - TREASURER

.

Our resident money man, Dave has graduated from spectator, to match day volunteer to the heady heights of committee member. We know our cash is safe in the hands of accountant Dave, as he keeps it on his yacht in the Mediterranean.

Shane Rampling - DIRECTOR OF RUGBY & JUNIORS REP

.

Coach of the Year 2007, Shane hails from Bingara in Queensland and is a keen West Tigers supporter. Now that he's getting on a bit, Shane decided to guarantee his place in the team by becoming Player/Coach (on the assumption that he is unlikely to drop himself). He won't however simply focus on the First Team, as part of his role is to strengthen both Open Age squads and to bring on Junior Development

Paul Maloney - PLAYERS REPRESENTATIVE

.

One of our outstanding players, Paul has volunteered to be the players representative on the monthly committee meetings, so if any player wants to put a view or opinion forward to the committee, then Pauls the man to speak to. Also in charge of arranging the occasional alcoholic soiree for the more refined of our players. (Booze ups to the less refined).

Ken Edwards - CLUB ADMINISTRATOR

.

One of the original 'Gang of Two' who founded the Centurions way back in the days when he was a great prop forward (or so he tells everyone), Ken has now stepped back into the cut and thrust of committee work as the clubs Administrator. Aussie Ken, a qualified referee, is now in charge of all our paperwork, documents and records.

Maria Langley - MEMBERSHIP SECRETARY

.

How she gets away with bothering everyone for their membership money and is still liked by everybody is one of the big mysteries. Only fair to say that whilst 'Membership Secretary' is her committee title, Maria gets stuck in to anything and everything that will help the club.
I've also heard she quite likes Brad Pitt.

Brian Parker - GRANTS OFFICER

.

Brian is from Widnes - hence the bitterness. Ex club chairman, real ale officionado and great club man, Brian is in charge of chasing up funding, sponsors and grants for the club. In these days when sporting clubs need money as much as good will to keep going, we are sure Brian is the man to help swell our coffers. To offer Brian money (for the club, obviously)

Steve and Toni Kenworthy - JUNIOR CHAIRMAN & JUNIOR TREASURER

.

Having such a vibrant junior set up, we thought it was only best to have a Junior Section Chairman and Junior Section Treasurer - and we have the best of both worlds with husband and wife team of Steve and Toni.
They will be working to ensure that the juniors are always well represented and well managed.
