Welcome to a web page about Colney Heath FC.  Why a football club on a Rugby League clubs website?  Well, in 2007, we were approached by St Albans Centurions rugby league club who were looking for a new 'home', and when they explained about their intended expansion plans and their work in the community, we just couldn't say no - Of course it helps that their season is during the spring and summer months and ours is mainly in autumn and winter.  In no time at all we became good friends, we allocated them an area beside the football pitch and built them a rugby field. They in turn have become social club members and join in with us on joint projects like ground maintenance and raising funds.  I am not aware of any other scheme where a football and rugby league club share the same ground and facilities so ammicably,  Long may it continue.

First, a few facts about Colney Heath FC.  We were founded in 1907 - and are celebrating our Centenary this year.
We play our football in the Premier Division of the Molten Spartan South Midland Football League.  Our home ground is The Recreation Ground, which is just off the High Street in the centre of the village.

THE MAGPIES
We have excellent facilities with two bars, changing rooms, showers and kitchen.  Our club is not only in the centre of the village, it is also one of the social centres, with the club being used through the week as a venue for some of the village groups and organisations.  If you wish to follow our fortunes during the football season, pop on down, you will be made most welcome, or if you want to check our progress, by clicking here you will be directed to our fixtures and results page, and by clicking here you will go to our league table.
